FAQ

How should I take my sea moss gel?
We encourage you to make sea moss a part of your daily routine by following the recommended dosage. Ideally, you should consume about 1-2 tablespoons of sea moss each day to fully enjoy its benefits. Integrating this serving size into your daily habits not only promotes a healthier lifestyle but also allows you to experience the wonderful advantages that sea moss has to offer.

What size are your jars?
Each jar is 16 ounces made of recyclable glass.

Does your sea moss gel contain any added sugars?
Only our cinnamon honey and orange turmeric flavors contain raw honey as a natural sweetener, our other varieties have no additional sugars included. Raw honey is a nutrient-rich, natural sugar source that offers numerous health benefits, and it has been specifically incorporated into these two flavors to enhance both taste and nutritional value.

How long does it take to receive my order?
We process and ship orders within 1-2 business days, but only ship from Monday to Wednesday to avoid weekend delays and product spoilage. If you order on Thursday or later, we'll process it the following Monday and ship it within 1-2 business days.

How long does my sea moss gel last?
While both our flavored and original sea moss gels are free of preservatives, the flavored gel has a shorter shelf life of 2-3 weeks due to the added fruit and/or fruit juice. These natural ingredients, combined with the absence of preservatives, can cause the flavored gel to spoil a bit faster. Just make sure to store both gels properly, and you'll be able to enjoy their amazing benefits within their respective timeframes.

How should I store my sea moss gel?
Always store your jar of sea moss gel in the refrigerator with the lid tightly secured. When you're scooping out your sea moss gel, be sure to use a clean spoon each time and, of course, no double dipping! 😉 This will help prevent any unwanted bacteria from sneaking in.

If you've stocked up on more than one jar, you can keep the extra ones in the freezer to extend their shelf life for up to 4 months. Just remember to transfer them to the fridge to thaw out when you're ready to use them.

What are the side effects of taking sea moss?

While sea moss gel is generally considered safe for consumption, it is important to note that excessive intake or misuse can cause adverse effects. Some of these side effects include diarrhea, stomach cramps, nausea, and vomiting. In rare cases, excessive intake can also cause thyroid problems or an allergic reaction.

To ensure your safety and well-being, we strongly recommend that you only take the recommended amount of 1-2 tablespoons of sea moss gel daily. It is essential that you do not exceed this amount, as doing so can lead to the side effects mentioned above.

We also advise that you consult your healthcare provider before adding sea moss to your diet, especially if you have pre-existing medical conditions or are taking medication.

Can I consume sea moss if I am pregnant or nursing?
Although sea moss has been safely used by pregnant and breastfeeding women for years, we are not medical professionals and suggest that you consult with your doctor before consuming.

Can I consume sea moss gel when taking medication?
Consuming sea moss gel along with medications might decrease how much medication your body absorbs and decrease the medications effectiveness. Please consult with your doctor before consuming, as we are not medical professionals.
